At the takeoff area, your instructor prepares the paraglider and untangles the lines, “a tandem wing is quite large, about 40 square meters.” Then, he explains your role for takeoff: to start running slowly and gradually accelerate, avoiding sitting down when the wing lifts us. Once in flight, you will be surprised by the ease and comfort, and the stress of takeoff will disappear. Flying is magical, a moment of gliding and lightness, a feeling of immense freedom. If the conditions are calm, your instructor will let you take the controls, and you become the pilot. In flight, he explains the landing: the ground approaches quickly, yet at about a meter above it, just as your feet are about to touch, the paraglider gently stops. Then, you’ll have only one desire: to do it all over again!

The Arcs resort offers immense flying opportunities with elevations of up to two thousand meters, easily accessible thanks to the ski lifts. Take advantage of this to get some fresh air! We take off one after the other on a grassy slope. Once in flight, you’ll be comfortably seated, enjoying the view. You can take photos to capture these magical moments, and even learn to pilot the paraglider with dual controls. The landing is smooth in the Bourg Saint Maurice valley.

This is the “prestige” flight, scheduled in the afternoon when the aerological conditions are most favorable. It’s recommended to have prior experience with a first tandem flight to fully appreciate this performance flight. The instructor will utilize thermal and dynamic updrafts to gain altitude, allowing you to soar over the launch site and the peaks of the resort, facing Mont Blanc. You’ll also receive instruction on basic piloting techniques such as ascending and descending, and you’ll have the opportunity to pilot the paraglider with dual controls. Get ready for breathtaking views!
